The Honest Struggle is the story of a Muslim convert ex-offender and his journey re-entering society in Chicago after being incarcerated for over 25 years. The film follows Sadiq, a former Chicago gang leader, now 55 years old.

The film documents Sadiq’s continuing struggle to transition into society over a span of 3 years and explores the realities of reentry and the inspirational surprises of human character.
